This year's Giving2sday is scheduled for November 30, 2021 (1st Tuesday after Thanksgiving).

As we work to recover from the effects of Covid, we are continuing work to build our endowment funds, which are managed by the Community Foundation for Crawford County, to enhance the long-term viability and sustainability of the Concert Association.  This message is announcing an opportunity for you to make a difference AND to maximize your contribution dollars.

The Community Foundation is providing $25,000 in pro-rata matching funds and Textron, Apex Clean Energy Holdings LLC and The Mason Companies are EACH providing $2,500 in additional matching funds.  This means, this year pro-rata Matching Funds will TOTAL $32,500!

To be eligible for pro-rata matching, contributions must be made between now and November 30, 2021.

In addition, Mizick Miller will be awarding $500 to the top earning funds in three categories: agency funds (like the Concert Association), school funds and scholarship funds.

FC Bank is sponsoring a “Power Hour” for all online contributions made on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, between 6 – 7 PM.  Every donation, no matter how big or small, made online during this time will enter the donor’s name into a drawing.  Three (3) randomly chosen winners will each get to choose which fund they want to win a $500 prize.  There is no limit on the number of donations to multiple endowments a donor can give – the more donations you make, the greater your chances of winning!

The amount of Foundation pro-rata match to the Concert Association will depend on the total amount contributed but thus far previous “Giving2sday Matchings” have not been less than 12.5 cents on the dollar...an instant unbeatable immediate return!

We are asking you to consider a tax-deductible contribution, to the full extent permitted by law, to the Crawford County Community Concert Association Endowment through the Foundation on or before Giving2sday cutoff of November 30, 2021.

This can be done in one of two ways:

Writing a check Payable To the: Community Foundation For Crawford County and on the memo line adding:  “For Crawford Concert Assoc.”

Please remember for the Concert Association to receive the  pro-rata pro-rata matching...                                                          Your Check Must Be Dated November 30, 2021  and

Your check must be mailed or delivered between now and the end of end of the day November 30.

For contributions that are being personally delivered to the Foundation’s office at 254 E. Mansfield Street, Bucyrus, OH, because of the continuing Covid exposure, the Foundation asks that you deposit your donation in the secure lock box at the rear entrance of their office.

If you are 70-1/2 of older you might want to consider talking with your accountant or tax advisor about making your contribution directly from your retirement account (like an IRA or 401-k) to the Foundation on Giving2sday by taking advantage of a tool called a Qualified Charitable Distribution.  This method may provide an advantageous way of maximizing your charitable deductions.  We always encourage our donors to seek tax advice from their tax advisor.

The Foundation has also set up an easy-to-use on-line method for contributing through Giving2sday:       1.Go to special website:  https://cfcrawford.networkforgood.com

     2. Key in the "Donate" box the amount of your contribution

     3. In the next screen that "pops up" select what endowment you wish to donate to &

     4. A payment screen will allow you to made a safe and secure credit card payment

After we are notified by the Foundation of all gifts received, an official recognition of your gift will be mailed to you and the Foundation will send you a receipt for your tax records recognizing and Thanking You for your gift and support.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call Tom Holtshouse at (419 569-3811).

If you are paying by check please remember to date your check November 30, 2021 and on the memo line show "For Crawford Concert Assoc."

Due to your generous support, last year’s efforts were very successful, and we were able to add a total of $6,610.65 (including a 19.5% match from the Foundation) to our endowment funds.

Thank you for your kind attention and continuing support!
